Rough Sawn slab of Flamed Box Elder. Specialty slab, with reddish-pink hardwood. Light colored sapwood. Very unique wood grain. This lumber is not readily available. Box Elder looks similar to soft maple, but with more color.
Easy wood to work with, turns, glues, cuts, and finished well.Straight-grained wood with a fine texture. Growth rings are usually faint and non-distinct. Easy wood to work with. It cuts, glues, and finishes nicely.

All of our lumber is sustainably salvaged. We air-dry and kiln dry the lumber down to a stable moisture percentage (6-9%). Shipping is available to lower 48 states. Lift gate service is $75 more, contact us if you need this service. Smaller items ship via FedEx or UPS and will arrive within 3-5 days. Larger slabs or pallets of lumber will usually take 2-3 weeks.
